World Art vision

The second edition of World Art Vision will be held in the Real Círculo Artístico de Barcelona, Spain, from 19th May - 5th June 2011. The exhibition will take place in the heart of the historical centre of Barcelona, el Barrio Gotico, where the Cathedral, the Ramblas, the Picasso Museum and the Salvador Dalì Escultor Museum are all located.

The Barrio Gotico has recently been declared as the most visited urban area in the whole of Spain.

Den här utställningen handlar om den viktigaste personen i mitt liv, Min mamma, Sara Bayati.

Den är en hyllning, men också en berättelse om hur hon för mig och min brors skull på ett sätt gick i döden för oss.

Hon dog när hon levde och levde igen på riktigt först när hon dog.

Det här är min mammas möte med ensamheten, den största av alla, nämligen ensamheten tillsammans med andra.

Jag och min bror kom hit med hjälp av FN 1990 från Iran efter tre års vistelse i Pakistan.

Hon åkte hit 1992 för att vara tillsammans med oss precis som det var i Iran. Tid är en bristvara hos den del av invandrare som försöker att lyckas i det här samhället. Vi måste kämpa tio gånger mer än en vanlig svensk för att uppnå samma resultat. Allting har ett pris och priset för en sådan framgång blir den tid som man förlorar att vara tillsammans med de absolut käraste.

Vi förlorade den tiden att vara med mamma och frågan är om det var värt det...

Fotograf Danish Saroee, som kommer från Iran, har bott i Sverige i tjugo år. Danish är flerfaldig vinnare av internationella fototävlingar, bland annat det prestigefyllda priset THe International Award "Lorenzo il Magnifico" från Florens, Italien.

Uppsalafotograf tar oceanen till världsfotoutställning

Förra gången, 2007, vann Danish Saroee det prestigefyllda internationella fotopriset ?Lorenzo il Magnificio? under Florence Biennalen i Italien. På fredag är det dags igen. Med sig har Uppsalafotografen i år bilder på temat Ocean.

På fredag åker fotografen Danish Saroee från Uppsala till fotoutställningen Florence Biennalen i Italien som en av åttahundra konstnärer från hela världen. Utställningen är världens till ytan största utställning av contemporary art.

? Oceanen intresserar mig. Den är stark och stor. Vem som helst kan associera till den och känna sin egen litenhet mot det mäktiga vattnet, kommenterar Danish Saroee sitt temaval.

Hur det går i år är förstås omöjligt att sia om i förväg, men hoppet finns.

? Det gick ju riktigt bra förra gången, säger Danish Saroee.

The Internal Committee of the International Biennial of Contemporary

Art invites Danish Saroeeto participate in the Sixth edition of the

exhibition, which will take place from the 1st to the 9th of December

2007 in the historical Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy.

The Biennale is organized under the High Patronage of the President

of the Italian Republic with the official endorsement of the Ministry

of Foreign Affairs, the Region of Tuscany, the Province and the

City of Florence. Numerous recognitions have also come from the

Embassies of the countries of origin of the Artists.

In 2001 the United Nations recognized the Florence Biennial as

an official partner in their program ?Dialogue Between Civilizations?

? a program well executed by the Biennial, which has seen an increasing

number of participants from all parts of the world. In the latest

edition, 775 artists in 73 nations with different ethnic, linguistic

and religious traditions, found through art a common language with

which to communicate their cultural values in perfect harmony with

Kofi Annan?s statement:

?I believe that dialogue is an opportunity for people of different

cultures and traditions to get to know each other better, whether they

live at opposite ends of the world or in the same street. Artists have

a special role to play in the struggle for peace. Artists speak not only

to people but for people. Art is a weapon against ignorance and hatred

and a representative of human conscience. Art opens new doors

for learning, understanding, and peace among people and nations.?
