PHOTO-BIOGRAPHY

I was born January 7, 1967 in Firouzabad Iran, and grew up in Shiraz, the city of poetry and art. I was 15 when started to take pictures with my brother?s camera, which was a Yashica (rangefinder). My father died a couple of months before I was born and unfortunately we didn't have any picture of him. For me it was a start to imagine pictures without seeing them in reality. Desire of seeing an image of him made me to have an enormous respect for photography and it was a good reason to learn it. On the other hand my mother did Carpet weaving and I learned a lot about colors and composition. I was saving all my money to be able to buy films and take pictures and develop and print them.

After four years at the University of Shiraz where I studied industrial management, I had to escape to Pakistan because of my opinion about political movements in Iran.

I have seen a lot of suffer during my 3 years of staying in Pakistan and this period of time gave me an angel of life, which was very different from what I had before.

February 1990 by UNHCR help I transferred to Sweden, where I began to search for a job as industrial manager or assistant but I found that it is not an easy game for me who came from Middle East to get this kind of job in Sweden. That's why I decided to apply to work as photographer or photographer-assistant and it was much more easier.

I always believe that academicals education or studying gives you more possibility to get Job.

That's why I did study photography at one of the best Photography schools in Sweden. I have been working non-stop as photographer, photographer assistant or at the photography department of various companies.

I have worked for different newspapers and companies here in Sweden and outside of Sweden, both as videographer and photographer. BBC and various advertising agencies, newspapers and companies are amongst my clients. Even I am working as official photographer at BIENNALE FLORENCE Contemporary Art and video photographer at World Art Vision Cancun Mexico.

During the years I have had exhibitions at different part of the world and have been lucky to win many awards but the most important thing for me is getting to know people around the world with different culture.

For me the purpose of art is to impart the sensation of things as they are perceived and not as they are known. The technique of art is to make objects "unfamiliar", to make forms difficult, to increase the difficulty and length of perception, because the process of perception is an aesthetic end in itself and must be prolonged. Art is a way of experiencing the artfulness of an object; the object is not important.

Jag �r f�dd 7 januari 1967 i Firouzabad-Iran och v�xte upp i Shiraz, staden som �r k�nd f�r sin poesi och konst. Jag var 15 n�r b�rjade ta bilder med min brors kamera, som var en Yashica. Min far dog ett par m�nader innan jag f�ddes och vi tyv�rr inte hade n�gon bild av honom. F�r mig var det en start att f�rest�lla bilder utan att se dem i verkligheten. �nskan att f� se en bild av honom fick mig att ha en enorm respekt f�r fotografering och det var en bra anledning att l�ra sig det. � andra sidan min mor gjorde mattv�vning och jag l�rde mig mycket om f�rger och komposition. Jag sparade alla mina pengar f�r att kunna k�pa filmer och ta bilder och framkalla och skriva ut dem.

Efter fyra �r vid universitetet i Shiraz d�r jag studerade Industrial Management, var jag tvungen att fly till Pakistan p� grund av mina �sikter om de politiska krafterna i Iran.

Jag har sett mycket lidande under mina 3 �r i Pakistan och denna tidsperiod gav mig en vinkel av livet, som var mycket annorlunda �n vad jag hade tidigare.

Februari 1990 med UNHCR hj�lp kom till Sverige, d�r jag b�rjade s�ka efter ett jobb i den linje som jag hade l�st, men jag fann att det inte �r en enkel match f�r mig som kom fr�n Mellan�stern f�r att f� denna typ av arbete i Sverige. Det �r d�rf�r jag beslutade att arbeta som fotograf eller fotograf-assistent och det var mycket l�ttare.

Jag tror alltid att Akademiska utbildning eller studier ger dig mer m�jlighet att f� jobb.

Det �r d�rf�r jag studerade fotografi p� en av de b�sta fotografi skolor i Sverige. Jag har jobbat non-stop som fotograf, fotograf assistent eller p� foto avdelningen hos olika f�retag.

Jag har arbetat f�r olika tidningar och f�retag h�r i Sverige och utanf�r Sverige, b�de som filmfotograf och stillbild fotograf. BBC och olika reklambyr�er, tidningar och f�retag finns bland mina klienter. �ven jag arbetar som officiell fotograf p� Florence Biennale och filmfotograf p� World Art Vision Cancun.

Under de �r jag har haft utst�llningar p� olika delar av v�rlden och har turen att vinna m�nga priser, men det viktigaste f�r mig �r att l�ra k�nna m�nniskor i v�rlden med annorlunda kulturer.

F�r mig �r syftet med konsten �r att f�rmedla k�nslan av saker som de uppfattas och inte som de �r k�nda. Tekniken att konsten �r att g�ra objekt "fr�mmande", f�r att g�ra formul�r sv�rt att �ka sv�righetsgrad och l�ngd uppfattning, eftersom uppfattning processen �r ett estetiskt sj�lv�ndam�l och m�ste f�rl�ngas. Konst �r ett s�tt att uppleva den geniala av ett objekt, vars syfte �r inte viktigt.
